Hi, I’m Emike

And I love designing thoughtful user experiences that people can’t help but love! My journey into design began with my childhood love for art, and my curiosity for tech, which led me to study Computer Science. Eventually my curious nature and interest in creative problem-solving led me to Product Design and so far so good! I have over 4 years of experience designing applications across mobile and desktop platforms and I am currently a Digital Product Designer at Fortris.

Working across various domains has sharpened my diverse skill set and I’ve been lucky to work with pretty amazing people on some really impactful projects, being part of the entire process of creating products, from developing informed ideas to constantly refining based on user needs. This hands-on experience has significantly boosted my problem-solving skills, preparing me to tackle a broad spectrum of challenges with confidence.

Generally, I believe my best quality as a designer is that I always try to centre my designs around my users and solving their problems. Yes, empathy for users!

Beyond my work as a designer, I love to read novels, listen to music and travel. I also find that I enjoy teaching. For now, I’m a happy consumer but I hope to someday write a blockbuster thriller novel and create and play a DJ set. Yes, I’m all for sharing!
